Well summer is certainly flying by and we are having a blast... We got passes to Six Flags Theme AND Water parks and we are going a minimum of twice a week... I am working on dropping a few pounds to try to avoid hernia surgery SOOOOO I have been walking and watching what I eat and trying to get enough water in me... Hurricane Harbor (Six Flags Water Park) has a "lazy river" that is 1/2 mile - I put Ethen in his floaty ring and walk the river 5 times for a total of 2.5 miles each visit... I do 1/2 the walk in a full stand and 1/2 in a duck walk - the girls in office say they can see a difference but I can't really tell yet too much however my pants aren't getting tighter anymore.... I have also started to do a few quick workouts I taped off of the Digital Cable On Demand section - I didn't even know they had a fitness section until someone on my April 05 board posted about it.... it's sooo cool!! They have a bunch of 10 min quick total body toning workouts, the first 3 of the Post Natal Workout series and some walking sessions.... They change them every so often to add news ones, take out old ones so I am taping what I can while they are avail.... I love I don't have to go out and BUY the workouts I was going to as they are free on the TV!!!! Now to figure out how to get the tapes transferred to DVD...
The boys LOVE HH even Ethen enjoys just floating the river - he usually ends up going to sleep....
Thurs I took the boys to Six Flags as Tony Stewart was supposed to be there w/his NASCAR... Deven was SOOOOO excited to be seeing his hero up close and personal!!!! We FINALLY get there about 1:30 and can't find where the NASCAR stuff is so we go back to Guest Relations to ask - it's been cancelled!! CANCELLED!!!! Deven literally SOBBED for 45+ mins he was soo heartbroken.... BUT $10 or so in the arcade and a cup full of tokens and he told me he was cheered up some.... Of course we still had moments of sadness complete w/tears through out the day.... This weekend he went to the Poconos for the Pennsylvania 500 which helped ease the pain too - they had a BLAST!! A well earned reward for such a wonderful school year!!!
Speaking of school - Dilen is all registered for Kindi AGAIN!!! GRRRRRR seems the school has a set/specific/strict rule regarding age/birth cut off for both Kindi AND 1st grade so even if you were to come from another state w/a later cut off and your child already did kindi there they are doing it again here!! GRRRRRRRR But w/his ADHD he's weak in the reading so it's not such a bad thing... Plus I figure by Nov/Dec he will be in the special ed class which is Kindi/1st combined and will be able to work btwn the 2 grades depending on where he's at academically... Deven is moving up to 3rd and I am soooo proud of both them!!!!
Ethen is almost 15wks old now - he had his 3 month check up on the 15th - he was 15lbs 12oz and 25 1/4 inches... 75% all around... He's smiling up a storm, cooing and absolutely LOVES to be in a standing position and sucking his thumb!! Yes folks I have a thumb sucker!! WOOO HOOOO He's sooo cute when he does it too!!!! I was worried about a few things he didn't seem to be doing but he's doing them now so I guess that 2 wks he was early has him on the back end of the curve for now but if you adjust his age by those 2 wks he's right on target perfectly!!! And doc told me he's just fine, stop worrying!!! So I am trying to... There are times when I don't feel totally connected to him or that I am short changing him on things like not getting to him soon enough when he starts fussing because I am loading washer, doing dishes, peeing, tending to other boys, etc -- NJ has been running alot of commercials about post partum depression and I can sooo relate to them which is scary in a way but also it's nice to have it reinforced that I am not alone.... They also remind me that I am normal and things will get better.... New pics to come VERY soon I promise!!!
Work for me is going well - I love being part time and yet I am exhausted as I do more running... I have made some progess on the house this past week and my goal is to continue on w/it and keep up w/what I have done... I have a list and I am gonna slowly work thru it if it kills me! *L* I have been pulling one or two overnights on weekends the past month to help out w/coverage shortage... I get to be the shift leader which makes me feel good that my boss trusts me and has enough confidence in me to allow me to fill a slot that is 6 grades above me.... PLUS it helps me get more hours worked so I use less leave AND I get some of the night differential pay I haven't gotten in a long time...
My friend Karin from the Oct99 board is coming to NJ tomorrow for 2 nights and we are gonna do dinner, the beach and HH while she is here... In fact she should of left Canada in the last few minutes to head down here.... I can't wait to see her as I missed the gathering of mommies last summer so I am taking Tues off to spend the day w/her and the kids....
I guess that's about it... I am doing my best to keep my head up and a positive attitude in general and just trying to enjoy things one day at a time... Til next time....
